LOCAL RESTAURANTS + ARTISTS,
TRANSFORMING ‘STREEATERIES’
INTO STREET ART
The NEIGHBORHOOD CURBSIDE CANVAS PROJECT
is a volunteer neighborhood-recovery effort, uniting local artists with struggling New York City restaurants to transform pop-up dining patios into street art, for the purposes of driving greater interest, energy and business back into our COVID-coping communities.

PROJECT/TRIBECA
Our pilot project was conceived on Labor Day.
Six weeks later, 20 volunteer artists had transformed 13 restaurants’ pop up dining patios into street art, culminating in a dedicated gallery opening and bi-weekly art crawls. Not to mention, tons of media attention for both restaurants and artists (scroll down).
Since then, we’ve rolled out to Park Slope, The Village, Hell’s Kitchen, the UWS, Queens, Union Square, Chelsea, Ft. Greene, FiDi. And we have our eye on East Harlem and Wiliamsburg next! Stay tuned to see our progress.

PLEASE DONATE TO OFFSET THE COST OF OUR ARTISTS’ SUPPLIES
Right now, not all of our restaurants have the means to pay for their artists’ supplies to bring their artistic transformations to life. Neither do most artists. And since this is a community-recovery effort, we’re asking our community to help us cover our artists’ cost through our GoFundMe page.
