“The Halseys Tavern mural was created with the intention of sharing a love for Astoria and its sites with local Astorians and for people visiting to inspire them to visit those sites through the beauty of the art. The piece is meant to tell a sequential art story like a comic book of 4 dog walkers walking through their neighborhood and marveling at the charm of this town. Dogs and people that the artists knows make cameos in the mural drawn and painted in his cartoony style that he developed over 10 years of drawing characters in the NYC subway.”
